I lost my mind!
After more than a dozen years as a blonde I told my hair stylist that I would like to go back to red hair. I used to have a pretty, soft red color that was a pain to keep up, but flattered my skin tone. The truth is that I have colored my hair for so long that I no longer have any idea what color it really is under there. The roots that keep growing in are white. Apparently this makes the whole hair color thing a bit iffy.
I feel like Ricky Ricardo is about to walk in, turn the same shade as my locks, and say, "Lucy, you have some 'splaining to do!"
So, resisting the urge to shave my head or wrap my skull in a scarf, I chose to to go out with two of my favorite people and head to our favorite place...Build-a-Bear! Lucy and Maggie were a bit shocked to see "Maga" with her hair aflame. They did not speak the whole way up to the mall. I think their first thought was to get away from the crazy lady as fast as possible.
After I climbed into her car, my dear daughter finally picked her chin up off the steering wheel and managed to choke out, "I guess it's a good thing that you can laugh about it." A little more certainty in her voice might have helped.
Guess who I am going to call first thing Monday morning? I hope I still have hair on my head by the time I get this fixed. Sad to say, even bald would be better.
We had a great time at B-A-B and George monkey got a brand new set of princess jammies.
Maggie would show you her new dog with the soccer cleats but she still can't get over her grandmother's hair.
